Veronica is an amazing baby nurse. We felt like we could trust her from the moment we met her. On a personal level, she is warm and energetic and intelligent. Professionally, she is incredibly experienced and holds multiple certifications (as a Doula, Newborn Care Specialist and Home Health Aide, just to name a few). Our son was born 3 months prematurely and came home from the hospital needing to be handled carefully during feedings, as he had a tendency to choke badly and hold his breath at times. Veronica is a lactation specialist, and it was very comforting to have her sitting by my side for some of those early breastfeeding sessions at home (we were always monitored by nurses at the hospital). She also fed him bottles of my breast milk at night with his prescribed vitamins so my husband and I could get some much-needed rest. We were very nervous about having anyone else feed the baby at first, since he needed to be “paced” in a specific way, but Veronica is experienced with preemies and we were relieved to see how easily and lovingly she handled the task. Veronica also held our son upright after those middle-of-the-night feedings to help him with his reflux, which was a huge help. I also have to mention that one of the best things we learned from Veronica was how to give an infant massage. It’s such a loving way to bond with our baby and our son loves it! My husband and I highly recommend Veronica if you’re looking for a postpartum doula/baby nurse. It’s like having a sweet, calm, non judgmental member of your family proactively helping you so you can fully enjoy those special early days with your baby

From the time we signed our contract with her she provided us with information, tips, and suggestions to help us prepare for our little one. In the weeks leading up to our daughter’s arrival, Veronica coached us in birthing techniques and educated us in the stages of Labor. Because of her labor support and valuable information I was confident and calm enough to have a drug free all natural birth. My labor lasted less that 5 hours and I was able to spend most of the time in the comfort of my home and not the hospital.My husband and I especially appreciated the time Veronica provided us to recover and rest after arriving home. By the end of our time with her, Veronica had established a routine of feedings,naps, baths and, play time leaving us feeling like confident, experienced parents.I cannot imagine trusting anyone other than Veronica to come into our home and be a part of such special time in our lives, Not only is he the best at what she does, she is warm hearted,sincere and loving. We called Veronica when our 3-week-old daughter was having trouble with reflux and not sleeping more than 45 minutes a stretch. We were exhausted and not able to fully enjoy this wonderful time. Veronica has a career that spans more than 10 years and more than 100 babies, including multiples. She is well-read in the newborn literature and is probably more qualified than anyone to handle any situation. She is a postpartum doula, certified newborn care specialist, lactation specialist, and massage therapist for adults and infants, to name a few of her many hats. she has gone the extra mile to acquire not just extensive certifications but the knowledge and experience to excel at what she does. My wife and I are both physicians (type A personalities!) with particular concerns about safety and trust. Veronica quickly earned our trust and allayed our fears about letting someone else help care for our first and only child. Though she has admitted to me that my daughter is one of the most spirited babies she has ever cared for, I am thrilled to report that she is now consistently sleeping 3-5 hour stretches between feeds. Following a complicated delivery at Cedars-Sinai Hospital that left me on bed rest for several weeks, we selected Veronica to help care for our infant son. She has cared for Wil as if he were her own son and she has become a part of our daily life and part of our family. We interviewed countless people and Veronica quickly set herself apart from the other night Nurses and Doulas with her professionalism, services and the advice she offered. She has taught me a great deal about caring for my son and caring for myself while I have a newborn. Veronica is an intelligent and motivated individual. One of her services Veronica provides is massage therapy. After a long day caring for my son, a massage is just what a tense new mother needs but the very last thing she has time for during her hectic day. Veronica makes the massage possible by offering it at one of her services. I consider myself an expert in massage, having enjoyed massages at spas across the country and, indeed, around the world, and would rank Veronica with the very best. That I was able to have the massage with Veronica in my home with my newborn son a feet away just a few weeks after undergoing a difficult c- section is a remarkable gift and I feel blessed to have Veronica in our home. Veronica is an outstanding baby care provider. My 16 week old twins fell in love with her instantly. We hired her after weeks of attempting to sleep train and get them on a schedule to no avail. Within one night, she had them and us running like clockwork. She is a true professional and takes her job seriously. Each night she came in, cleaned bottles, set up what she needed, and sent my husband and myself off to much needed sleep. It was wonderful going to bed knowing someone was going to take care of my girls the way I would do myself She is a baby whisper and our own Mary Poppins. My girls have gone from fussing throughout the night, to just needing a quick bottle after 8 hours of sleep. She also took care of me. When my back went out, she kindly offered her massage services to take quick care of the problem. We will truly miss having her around now that my girls are ready for us to take over their night care as we continue their new routine

My wife recently gave birth to our first child, a beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately, her pregnancy was not such a beautiful thing. My wife suffered from Hyper emesis gravid arum; severe and debilitating nausea and vomiting. She was in constant pain and discomfort for the entire 9 months. Needless to say, she (and 1) were exhausted by the time she was ready to give birth. As an added bonus, at the last minute, my wife required an emergency C-section. It was, of course, all worth it in the end, as we are madly in love with our daughter and wouldn’t trade her for the world. Unfortunately, the rough pregnancy and delivery left both of us drained. We were so excited to spend time with our child, but were also worried about being able to get the much needed sleep my wife needed to recover now that she could finally get through an entire night without becoming severely ill. We were extremely fortunate to have Veronica join us as we finally came home from the hospital. Veronica was extremely understanding and knowledgeable about my wife’s condition, on top of her extensive baby knowledge. She was as concerned for my wife’s well being and recovery as she was for our daughter. Her warm personality immediately put us at ease, and her years of experience with babies quickly became apparent as she used her magic touch to calm our baby girl and get her to sleep 3 and 4 hour stretches at a time almost immediately. She truly is a ‘baby whisperer. I am a very private person, and was concerned about having a new person stay in our home with us, particularly when we wanted to spend as much time bonding with the baby as possible. Veronica was very sensitive to the situation and made it clear without any prompting from us whatsoever that she respects and values our privacy greatly, and would give us as much space as we wanted and needed, while still being there to help with the baby and guide us in the care for our child. Any potential concerns were soon allayed, as she quickly became like another member of the family. Instead of feeling the presence of an outsider, we genuinely enjoyed our time with Veronica, even after the baby had been put to bed. Her patient explanations and demonstrations for all things baby care related really put us at ease, as we were definitely in the ‘I don’t think I know what I’m doing’ camp. Her confidence and teaching skills gave us the tools to care for our baby, and she made herself available 24/7 for any questions or concerns we may have, even if she wasn’t with us at the time If we are fortunate enough to have another child, I without a doubt would love to have Veronica join us again in welcoming the baby to our new family, and making the experience as pleasant as possible for us parents as well

Where do I begin? Veronica started this journey with us at Cedars in the delivery room as my birth doula. She helped me relax with various massage techniques, coached me on breathing and her constant smile was such a reassurance through the whole birthing process. We also had the pleasure of having Veronica stay in our home for a week 24 hours a day helping my husband and I adjust to life with a newborn around the clock. As a first time breast-feeding mom, I could not have asked for a better experience. She helped me figure out different techniques in assisting my newborn boy with his latch. She gave us massages, helped out with laundry and kitchen duties. But the best thing Veronica did was care for our son with tender hands, gentle touches, and soothing words. She is a gem and is full of so much “baby” knowledge. We learned baby massage from Veronica and various other things to help us care for our baby better. She would sit with me on those first few frustrating, long nights of breast-feeding and keep me company, always making me feel good when my self-esteem was low. I cried harder than my newborn when she left. If I had it my way, I would have had Veronica stay for much longer. We highly recommend Veronica for doula and baby nurse services. We were so lucky to have her and will forever be grateful!

We had the pleasure of working with Veronica Stang for two weeks. We called her to help us with our baby boy who wasn’t sleeping at night. He was waking at least 4-5 times a night. By the end of two weeks with Veronica, our baby was waking only twice a night and now two weeks later (continuing with the schedule she set for him) he’s waking only once a night. We could have never done this without her. We were very clear with Veronica that we didn’t want our baby to “cry it out” in order to “train” him to sleep through the night. She never left him alone and she was so caring and loving. The transition for him was done in a very gentle way and we were extremely pleased with her methods. Our baby had a huge smile every night when Veronica walked in the door. We were a bit nervous about handing him off at night, but after the first night we knew he was in great hands. She treated him as he were her own child. We felt at ease right away. At the end of the two weeks we were so sad to see Veronica go. She instantly became a member of our family and we tried to convince her to move In I We loved having her and couldn’t recommend her enough.

Veronica Hinojosa-Stang has worked as a Baby Nurse/Doula for our family during the important first few months of our daughter Ella’s life. Not only has she been great with Ella, she’s been great with us as first time parents. We’ve had two opportunities to work with Veronica. First as a night Baby Nurse/doula during the first weeks after we brought Ella home from the hospital, and subsequently for occasional night and/or day time care of Ella over the next four months as we adjusted to new personal and work schedules. Veronica has a wonderful way about her that really shines through when she’s with our daughter”. Warm and caring and tremendously energetic and fun. She worked wonders when it came to soothing Ella and helping establish a good routine with her. We also learned a lot from Veronica Such as how to give a good baths and Baby Massage, as well as other techniques for calming our energetic little girl. She would tirelessly put on “the show” for Ella, much to her delight. If Ella was having a bad night, Veronica would never give up trying to soothe her. She would do her best to figure out what the problem was. She kept going long after both Jen and I would have been exhausted. As time permitted, Veronica would help us keep the house in order too, washina Ella’s clothes and bottles and tidvina up her nursery. We don’t have family in town so we’re pretty much on our own here. So we feel very lucky to have met Veronica and she has quickly become someone we trust with our daughter, and someone that we can see Ella is comfortable with. When personal or work issues have come up, or we’re both simply exhausted and on the verge of becoming zombies, we know that if we call Veronica she’ll do everything she can to help us out of a jam, even if that means rearranging her own schedule to do so. Veronica was a great partner to us as we worked together to learn Ella’s personality and needs. She would always consider our preferences first and try to work with Ella in a way that was consistent with our own, But it was also great to be able to rely on her experience. In some ways she really helped us become more confident parents. Personally, Veronica is fun to talk to and spend time with in our home. I called Veronica the day I came back home after c-section. I was in so much pain with my swollen feet I was not able to get up from the bed. I was in tears when I called her because I had no help at home. Veronica was so kind and nice, she came right away. Her massage made me able to walk within 4 days. She also taught me how to bath the baby, swaddle the baby, and techniques to calm down the baby she is also a great cook (taught her Indian cuisine and she picked very fast). She is very professional, kind hearted, and caring. The value of Veronica’s time and teaching was invaluable to us. I can’t say enough good things about her. Veronica is very kind and caring and wonderful with the babies in her care. She even went on coloring my hair because I was unable to get out my apartment. She is a great person, like a mother. We had the great privilege of having Veronica in our home for the past 6 weeks. We have a 12 week old baby and we were looking for a Doula who could assist us in taking care of our infant at night (so we could get a little of sleep) and educating us on techniques to best care or our baby. Veronica not only met those needs, but instantly became a part of our family. Veronica is a very knowledgeable and caring person and we always felt extremely comfortable with our baby in her care. Veronica provided us with a chart to track our feedings, naps, and diaper changing. It is valuable tool that we continue to use every day. Veronica also taught us Baby Massage techniques. We have found that this is a unique way to bond with our baby and she truly seems to enjoy the experience. Veronica is not only a Baby Massage therapist, but she was gracious enough to give me massages as well. Taking this time to relax was so important, as it helped me sleep and feel well rested to be present for my baby. We are so sad to see Veronica go, but we will always appreciate the time we spent with her. We would highly recommend Veronica to any family in need I!!
